With other additions like the Silent drive that eliminates clicking and handle play for a nice improved smoother operation. A super slow oscillation offers terrific line lay and releases when casting plus a responsive instant drag. The Spod version features a stepped up 5.2:1 ratio over the 4.3:1 on the standard 14000 XTE, cranking back 124cm per turn of the handle.
